HB4958 HFA Bates 2-25

                Delegate Bates moves to amend HB4958 on page 3, Section 2a, line 57, following the period by inserting a new subdivision (3), to read as follows:

“(3) If a person has made payments for seven years and is in good standing with the terms of his or her repayment plan at the end of the seven year period, further payments are waived and the person is released from any costs, fines, forfeiture or penalties owed under the payment plan.”;

                And,

                On page 7, Section 2b, line 50, following the period by inserting a new subdivision (3), to read as follows:

“(3) If a person has made payments for seven years and is in good standing with the terms of his or her repayment plan at the end of the seven year period, further payments are waived and the person is released from any costs, fines, forfeiture or penalties owed under the payment plan.”;

                And,

                On page 16, Section 2a, line 49, following the period by inserting a new subdivision (3), to read as follows:

“(3) If a person has made payments for seven years and is in good standing with the terms of his or her repayment plan at the end of the seven year period, further payments are waived and the person is released from any costs, fines, forfeiture or penalties owed under the payment plan.”;

                And,

                On page 25, Section 17, line 85, following the words “paid in full,” by inserting the words “or otherwise released,”.
